And Veronica Mars is cancelled, which I found out just after finishing this week's episode. I'm not sure how I feel about it, since I like the show but am not in love with it like I used to be, but ultimately I think I'll go with sad. I've lost Studio 60, The Black Donnellys, and now VM this week. None was perfect, but I was always happy to see ( Read more... )

*Hugs hugs hugs* I loved VM S1, and liked S2, but it lost its magic for me partway through S3 and I stopped watching. But I'm sorry it's going away, because it's still better than lots of stuff that's on TV currently, and I'm sorry for you. *Squish*

Yeah, this season hasn't grabbed me, but it's still better than most of what I skip past on TV. I wish it could have recaptured its brilliance, but there's something to be said for not letting a show go on forever when it's just a faded image of its former self. I'm just not sure it was that far gone. I don't know.

I'd heard some rumor-y stuff about things they were proposing to do with a 4th season (in an attempt to get one) but I guess it wasn't appealing enough. It's too bad. It seems like there are so many utter crap shows that go on and on forever, and so many good ones that get cancelled.

Yeah, I'd heard the rumors, too, so was holding out a little bit of hope. Alas.

Television frustrates me so much I think it's part of the reason I've stopped watching shows as they air. If the show is good and the network gods allow it to continue past one season, or hell, the first several episodes, then it'll be released on DVD and I'll catch it there. The Angel and Firefly cancellations, especially Firefly burned me bad.

At the beginning of each season I say I'm not going to try anything, but I do because there could be - and often is - at least one good show. Mostly I find I let them stack up on the TiVo for a month or more until my LJ friends have squeed enough and it's clear it's not getting yanked after two episodes. I'm always happiest having a whole bunch of seasons to catch up on DVD, though. Joining Stargate fandom was like the motherload!

I am getting so tired of tv networks canceling my shows. Once they're reached their natural end, fine! But the ones that are just hitting their stride or getting back on track or even brand new shows that don't even get a chance! It's driving me crazy, and I, too, will *never* be over the way they killed Angel.

No more Keith Mars! *bawls*

I am so right there with you. Cancelling them before their time is so awful. And I fume about Angel every time I think of it.

I think I'll miss Keith most of all!

Aw crap! I was hoping VM get sparred... there's some Buffy quippiness in VM and besides, Joss was there!!! ...

I'll never get over ANGEL cancellation either, and now CBS will show Moonlight, a "new" show about a vampire who works as a detective, who loves a human woman, who wears long jacket, standing at rooftops... *puke* :( where were they when WB cancelled Angel ?? they could've picked Angel up and showed it at CBS.... *wistfull thinking*

*cries over Angel* I get so, so angry and the unfairness of its cancellation. I know it's been years, but I just cannot get past it.

Perhaps I should seek therapy? ;)
