Bones question and Jossverse reflections, now with run-on sentences.

I read a post on LJ this morning from earlier in the week that said that last night's Bones was two hours long. My TiVo only recorded one hour, and I don't want to watch it only to find that it stops halfway through. My soul is crushed enough as it is by my daily routine of being ever-more-thoroughly driven out of my mind by contractors. So, is there any truth to that rumor? Was it two hours long? Was one a new episode and one an old one? Has my TiVo failed me?

My parents are partway through s5 of Buffy and s2 of Angel, and they are loving it so much that they're strictly rationing it out so that they don't watch six hours of it in a day and finish it too quickly. (They're also still such rabid Spike fen that it's not even funny.) I'm jealous of them in a way; they still have so much joy ahead of them - the Buffybot and Spike and Dawn and "Once More, With Feeling" and "Conversations with Dead People" and Wes standing up to Angel and finding his own two feet and all of AtS s4 and the Angel/Spike love-fest of AtS s5. Sure, they have less fun moments to suffer through, too, but there's so much good stuff (some painful, some wonderful) still yet to come. Seeing these shows for the first time is so special. It's a joy and a privilege not to know what's to come and to watch it unfold and smack you in the face and stab you in the heart and make you laugh and cry and shake your tiny fist at Joss for being so damn good. I'd love to see these shows with fresh eyes again. At least I get to experience it vicariously through them.

Hey, I also rewound the TiVo the other day to watch a commercial; Tom Lenk (Andrew from Buffy) was in like a Wendy's commercial or something. (He was also in How I Met Your Mother the other week, the one with Inara.) I don't remember what the commercial was for, but the point was that he was happily squashed between two girls in the car, and all I could think about was that they were Andrew's beards, like the women he went out with in The Girl in Question. It seems to be a theme with him.

So... Bones info, anyone?
