I love my TiVo for many reasons, but today I'm particularly grateful for it because it not only told me that some station was showing a movie David Hewlett was in but it also let me fast-forward very easily through all of the scenes without him.
Picking him out was exceptionally easy because he spent the entire movie in a Santa outfit. No, really. Who needs to Photoshop a Santa hat on Rodney's head when this movie (I think it was called The 2nd Day of Christmas, in which he plays a pickpocket) was made for screencapping?
Now I'm wondering, though, just what exactly would have to be held over his head to make Rodney appear in a Santa costume. Did he lose a bet and have to appear in the dining hall for the sake of morale on Atlantis? Did he draw the short straw and have to play Santa for the Athosian kids? ("Ho, ho, ho. Let's get this over with." "No, you're not going to sit on my lap. Do you have any idea how bad that would be for my knees? I don't care if I'm Santa; I'm not going to risk being unable to run away from the Wrath on our next mission just because you want a My Little Thing-That's-Not-Quite-A-Pony." "You want a Sheppard doll? Come on; all he does is shoot things. Now scientists, they make the best action figures - " He glares. " - What are you laughing at, Colonel?") These are happy thoughts indeed.
