I've been putting this off now for a few days. Things have been...well, busy is about the closes word to describe it. Or perhaps chaotic. There's still so much to do, it's as if I'm building a new country. In a way, maybe I am.
Kayla is gone. First thing Saturday morning I received the results from the paternity test. It worked out well that Brenda's parents were visiting that day...let's just say I am grateful they were able to take Kayla away so she did not have to witness Brenda after I informed her I knew of her little scam. What infuriated me the most was not the fact that I had been tricked, but that Brenda had knowingly allowed her and me get attached.
I'd never have made a good father anyway.
