SA Fears
This post from an old friend in South Africa got me thinking and feeling so sad. It was exactly for things like this that I left my home.
For those who read jenty's post and do not understand what "marking" is...it's when someone checks out your house and decides what type of break in would be required and how worth it would be to break in and leaves a marker for others. Then a person/group comes along equipped to do what's necessary and bam!, you're it. See jenty's just had a baby and now is at home all day long. For someone who had previously cased out her home, this is valuable information to have.
Makes me sick to my stomach, just thinking about it!
Even sicker is that the empty coke bottle could just be a piece of garbage. But look what kind of fear and anxiety it's generated.
I am so very glad I left SA. But so very sad too...it was my home for 28 years.
