I think I've only used maths to count how many opponents I had defeated and I was never very interested in knowing the number either.

Hn, I suppose it's useful then. Also when in charge of people, or children and having to move to another place, easier to count them than to search for them and relate face and name.

Maybe for a tactician, but the wars I've been in had no use for those. It's just theory in the end, you may make pretty drawings about how the battle will go on, but when it starts only a fool would think that those things would be followed. When a soldier is fighting, the last thing in their mind is if the enemy line is advancing or if he's defense line or whatever.

No, I never went to school to begin with. The closest were the classes at the orphanage but they served of nothing and were merely for us to put a show to impress potential parents. And I was taken from there very young with no one ever mentioning school again, so I thought that I was done with it and that it was normal.
