Where the towels are...umm, lots of people's...

So it all began one night at a bar, hanging with friends who had been looking at new places to live. They had found a house that would be the perfect for what they wanted, but rent was comparably astronomical to what they had been paying. Luckily, the size of the house was also relative to the rent, so they were devising a plan to achieve their aim. They had a total of 7 people on board to fill a 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom house, which also has a rather large, spacious, almost-finished attic. The total square-footage is believed to be around 3500. This is the point where I then mentioned that I was looking for a place as well. Even then, there was still one more bedroom left, as the attic was also perfect as a large bedroom. Another friend of mine, after hearing this, proclaimed, "That's it! I'm in!"

After some rearrangements due to finances and the ultimate needs of everyone involved, we finally achieved this aim, with a total of 9 people: 3 couples and 3 singles. We have a dining room, media room, library, sun room / sitting nook, 2 laundry rooms (one of which is being converted to a soap laboratory, as one of my friends has her own soap business), 2-car garage, and a large yard with a white picket fence. All of this is located on the near-north side of downtown among other large houses.

All of my roommates are people I trust and enjoy being around. We have big plans and a means of accomplishing them. It's going to be amazing! I said I plan to make 2010 an awesome year, and this is the first step!

Oh, and the rent per person is actually pretty cheap. :)
