Well, it's that time of the year again, and although I admit I've been more than a little flaky when it comes to updating this site... I'm okay with that. The thing is, I usually don't really have anything to say. If I do, it's really just that I want to rant about something none of you particularly care about, and in the end, my goal is the same: to get pity comments. But other than that, it's just not all that fun to update when things are going fine and dandy with no really important changes going on. Granted, that might change a little this next month or so as I am transitioning to UAlbany. (;____; I am so glad I don't have to fly 12 hours this Friday. Oh man, happiest christmas present ever. I'll miss all my friends a ton, but I'll make sure to keep in touch with all of them. In fact, maybe I'll write Maryann an email today--I've been able to chat with Amanda online a fair amount--not quite enough, but close. ^_^)
But ranting about how I never write on LJ anymore was not the reason I planned to put up this entry. Actually, I decided I needed a medium on which to designate my new years resolutions, none of which I will probably follow, but at least they will be on paper so I can hold them over my head. HA! Ok...
1. (This is so evil of me) Finish the Rough Draft of DM. (Evil, for those of you who do not know, because I have never once finished a full draft of this story, and I've been working on it for somewhere around five or six years, now.)
2. (A little less evil) Consider seriously applying myself to sending short stories out. (This one can be postponed for #1 if necessary.)
3. Get back into drawing more often. I've fallen out of the habit, and have forgotten how relaxing it is for me. A good substitute for when writing is making me bang my head into walls.
4. Worry Less (in general, about everything). = Relax. Enjoy life. Stop being so anal about stupid crap.
5. Keep in touch with friends in Hawaii--I'll never let go, Jack.
Um, yeah. I could put on there more rational things like "Stay better organized", but why kid myself? I'm a walking disaster zone, I will never be a super organized person, because I realize it's more important for my sanity to be relaxed and not worry (hence #4). So here's to a carefree new years! Hooray!
