Character Name [Canonly Written]: Colonel Roy Mustang
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist (anime)

The Item: Gloves~
Point with which your character has been taken from canon: Roy is taken from just after his transfer to Central, and after Maes' death.
Personality: Mustang would be labeled by some as a 'mysterious' character, with plenty of wit, charm, and smarm about him. With a calculating mind, and a head for strategics, Roy makes for an officer who gets things done (eventually).
Some might regard him as cold, but he is simply doing what he needs in order to reach his rather lofty goals. He shows compassion rarely, possibly because in any other circumstance the emotion would be fake. He takes pride in subordinates, and those who work around him, those that understand his goals appreciate the work he does, and help to protect and support him, as he does for them. Even the Fullmetal Alchemist has a place in Roy's thoughts, although Ed would never think it were true, after all Roy also takes great pleasure in teasing Edward about many things, but primarily his height.
Roy is something of a ladies man, although in most cases his 'dates' are with informants in order to gain intelligence. Even if his dates aren't particularly official, Roy is a refined man with manners, charm and good looks to match.
Powers/Abilities CANON: Roy Mustang is an Alchemist, although he specialises in Flame Alchemy which he performs with the use of ignition cloth gloves which have two arrays on the back of them. When Roy clicks his fingers the gloves make a spark and Roy uses his alchemic ability to manipulate the atoms in the air to his cause.
Powers/Abilities AU: After arriving Roy finds that his gloves don't quite work as well as used they used to. Perhaps Havoc would still be fine to ask him to light his cigarettes, but anything bigger and it's a no hoper.
History: Roy is known as the 'Flame Alchemist' thanks to the ignition cloth gloves that he wears. They have an array printed on the back, which is used by the Colonel to create fire. His alchemic skills earned him his place as a State Alchemist.
Roy also fought in the Ishbal War, a 'Civil War' between Amestris and Ishbal. The war was a shambles, and he saw his fair share of very bad things. Thanks to his position as a State Alchemist he was used as a human weapon to destroy everything in his path as ordered by the military - orders he carried out whether he wanted to or not. It was thanks to the burden of the lives he took that the Flame took to drinking heavily and planning on ways to resurrect the dead. However, it was thanks to the war that he made a promise to his best friend Maes Hughes that he would make a difference to the Military and become Fuhrer so that he could make changes. The Colonel does not take his goal lightly thanks to Maes, and with Hughes and his team of subordinates help, Roy intends to rise up the ranks

I'm not entirely sure why I didn't bring it up sooner, but now he's trying to tell me how he came to spend so much on 'mission damage' I have to salute myself. Wonderful, Mustang, always wonderful.
I did wonder what that farmer was harping on about.
"A cow, Edward." I'm not sure if it's me, or his windmilling that has the smirk on my face - but I know for a fact that it's my smirk that's got him yelling.
"When you're ready to leave, you may. I'll read your report later and review next weeks research budget to reflect the costs of replacing Farmer Giles' Cow."
He's not finished ranting yet, younger brother to the rescue. If Al weren't a suit of armour I wonder where those boys would be now.
I wonder if Sandra is available this evening...
