Memeage and Silly Introspection

Tonight's an evening of simple pleasures. I've been wearing TAL Helping Hand in a flowery Templar scent locket so that it does not clash with my BPAL The Living Flame.
I am speechless about how perfect Ghirardelli limited edition Peppermint Bark is--a thin slice of white chocolate with peppermint bits fused to a thin slice of milk chocolate. They balance compleatly and are a delight, but only one or two pieces are ever necessary. I would never be able to wolf these down. However, I totally forgot how much I loved these LAST Christmas (when my sister got them for me), and I only bought myself one bag of it. And now it's not available anymore. *sobs*
Green tea ice cream--or powdered green tea sprinkled over vanilla bean ice cream--is so rich and delicious, and yet it begs to be eaten with tiny dessert spoons (more like espresso spoons, really). Rather the sort of thing that should be savoured in slow, melty mouthfuls as one relaxes into a beautiful afternoon. No doubt your afternoon would be sunny, but to me, that means grey, overcast, windy...yet bright.
Thinking about "Robin of Sherwood" has me sighing happily, too. I haven't watched the episodes for a couple of years, so I'm well due for it. I should have done over the recent Holiday season, but I was mostly too sick to enjoy much of anything. But I'm sure more than a few episodes will be played back this weekend. "Nothing's forgotten. Nothing's ever forgotten."
The sound of rain on the roof while I'm nestling a warm mug of milky tea in my paws...stunning. It sounds even better if I go in and sit inside my cedar closet upstairs--there's a bench in there. However, I don't often take the time to do that, although I promised Gala I would.
The brilliance of the full moon, especially as it has been the past two nights. Huge, round, and filling the sky. Gala (the cream and blue cat who used to supervise me at all times) would curl up to sleep and she looked exactly like the full moon with her grey and white patches falling more or less precisely where they should.
