It's All So Special...

The weather's miserable out there--we're about to be hit by about 14" of snow. We've already got almost 5" on the ground and I've spent two hours, off and on, shovelling my driveway. (I live on a hill, so if I don't shovel, I don't get out.) So far, only two vehicles have made it past my house in the road below, and both were 4WD (truck, SUV). I STILL have something like 30 minutes of shovelling to do before I even REACH the road.

There's a blizzard warning everywhere north of Marion County, which I live at the far eastern edge thereof. The store is just outside the county at the NE corner. My boss lives IN the blizzard warning area, as do half the staff, and they're rapidly closing down the counties up there with Emergency Orders that mean you can be arrested for even being out on the streets.

The Mayor's trying NOT to close Marion County (because all the hospitals and emergency services are centralised here).

Guess What? My boss "hasn't decided" if he's going to close the store or not.

??????????????????????????????

Mind you, I was supposed to BE at the store almost an hour ago. If he DOES close the store and if I DID make it in, he would never have told me. I had to call HIM to tell him I was running late and still shovelling. Any other boss would have called all their employees before they tried to set out on the dangerous streets and at least have told them to delay leaving.

OMG

Nechtan

snow, clueless
