I had ants, tiny scurrying workers of ants, trying to make a nest in my bed last night.
Truly! I kid you not!
They hadn't just found food (I don't eat in bed) or come in because of the copious amounts of rain we've had lately. No, they were moving their eggs, and thus themselves, under my fitted sheet and onto my mattress - Into My Bed!

I don't care that I threw a fit to be tied and attacked them with red pepper, masking tape, a vacuum cleaner, and a caulking gun and slept on the sofa last night; I feel it was a rather well-warranted reaction. However, sleeping on the couch again tonight may be a bit of an over-reaction.
In my defense though, I'm still finding ants on my study desk.
Considering the amount of ants that have been around the house over the years, and the location of most of their comings and goings, I think there's a giant ant nest under my brick patio out back, and the queen is the size of a paperback book by now.
Perhaps not.
Oh man, I hope not.
EDIT: I really do not have a problem with ants. Normally. I've thrown all kinds of insects back outside before, including crickets, and that was certainly an act of mercy if you've ever seen what my cat can do to one.
