Didn't get this one to 500 words. I tried, but it seemed its natural length was a little under 450. To be honest I am kind of uncertain about this - the old adage is to write what you want to read, and I am reasonably certain I would open this, see that there wasn't any dialogue, and lose interest pretty quickly. *coughs*
Anyway, it's keeping me writing, which is the important thing.
