I’m willing to help in whatever way I can.
I want to see you two work so badly!

Don't you think it's a great idea?

I think it may work, but you both need to agree that you need it and you’ll both have to agree to do the work needed to improve the situation.

They'll be work? What work?

There’s always work to be done. In my experience, this sort of work involves either self reflection of some kind, or altering your reactions to other’s behavior. I’ve never been to couples’ stuff, but I can’t imagine it’s that much different from a solo or family ordeal.

Oh good god, the last thing Louis needs to be told is to do yet more self-reflection.

I don’t know what they’ll tell him to do if he goes. What I can say is only my experience. Things like this are super individual, so I suppose I shouldn’t have made it seem like something it isn’t.
That being said, I’ll put money on it that there’s homework involved.

I've got to get him there yet. I'll admit, I'm curious. I am going to seek out the woman of whom Ian has spoken. Yeah, why not? I want to know what happens.

Getting people to go is always the hardest part. I tried over on his post, but I’m not about to hold my breath.
I don’t know if I’m qualified to attempt a convincing, but I’m with you on this.

You're as qualified as anyone, petite.

I don't know quite how serious I am about it. I'm well aware of what a strange concept it is for me to talk to a mortal about my life, but the idea intrigues me either way.

I don’t want either of you to be nervous about it. The worst that happens is you get a doctor that sucks at their jobs and you just never see them again.

I’d imagine it’s going to be cathartic to just talk like that. It was for me.

I don't have a problem talking.

Of course not, but sometimes it feels good to not have to maneuver around in a conversation and just talk to someone who’s not at all invested. Who knows, maybe you’ll find out something new about yourself.
It’s not you I’m super worried about. You seem to be on board. I’d like to see Louis try as well.

I've seen a therapist before. I tried one thirty years ago when it was en vogue, but not for long.

That’s interesting. Was it trendy back in the 80s to see therapists? I wonder why.

30 years is a long time to rack up new experiences. You’ve got plenty to talk to them about.

Oh yes, very trendy. Very avant-garde.
