Well, that's the thing about possession. It's never actually as neat as that. If this thing had immediately told us all we needed in order to fight it, it would be long gone but it's terribly inconsiderate.

It might be more apt to get what it wants if it were a little less of an ass hole and just simply asked politely for whatever it is it wants.  But I suppose there is no polite way of asking for the destruction of God's creation.

Perhaps they didn't lie about that. I think not. But I don't know the whole story.

What more could there be to know?  This demon possesses Magnus realizes Magnus is too weak to sustain it - Goes in search of a stronger soul-Finds you and has been trying on and off ever since to get possession of you.
