Less is more fun

Sometimes when I'm feeling brave, I go to this huge cheapcheapcheap food store, the kind where everyone else is there to get two shopping carts full of Mystery Brand cat food, the kind where I keep thinking I'm going to be squashed like a bug by a ton of toilet paper falling from the top of the industrial shelving. I went there today and discovered less fat chips. Not low fat chips (and anyway, that sounds like the potato-based version of a rice cake), but less fat chips. There's an endearing honesty about this.

Okay, so they're really sourcream and onion 35% less fat chips, but there's a strategically placed line break, so they'll always be just less fat chips to me.

The Berrigan story is starting to resemble an actual story, so the Monday night deadline doesn't feel impossible. Brand new plot elements are popping up like mushrooms after a heavy rain. New to the story, I mean; turns out I'm actually writing Slash Cliché #47. Oops?
