Creative nostalgia
I miss the days of the mini con. It's fun to hang out with other fans. (Wax, I have air conditioning now! Come back!) Still, Red Rose is only a week away. Anyone else going?
Updated my site. Sunsets and beaches is a tiny Gundam Wing story that's a sort of fanfic riff of an earlier one, Not so much the weather, and yes, I do wonder what it says about my ego and/or sanity that I write fanfic for my own fanfic. I could at least write fanfic for someone else's fanfic.
(Wait, I did do that. Rewriting Kat is a rewrite of/commentary on Kat Allison's Coming to this, done as part of a fanfic rewrite project that gave me a lot of interesting ideas I never did anything with. I had this idea that I would like to rewrite two Francesca stories: one where I'd change all the dialogue but keep everything else intact, and one where I'd keep the dialogue but write an entirely different narrative around it. Needless to say, this has not happened. I realized after about two minutes that it would require a lot of actual work. Still, those are pretty high on the list of Stories I'm Not Writing at the moment.)
Anyway, I updated the recs, too. I've read more than two stories during my six-month hiatus, but it's a start.
