the comforts of home, yuletide
Ooh, it's nice to be home. I mean, don't get me wrong, I had a nice trip, with lots of relatives and lots of seasonally appropriate food, but I also appreciate being back here, where there's never a line for the bathroom and no one tries to feed me every five minutes, and also there's free computer access and yuletide stories!
I got some very shiny stuff this year: Thirty-three Kisses and Counting, an utterly charming Macdonald Hall story wherein Bruno kisses people and Boots is appalled jealous appalled, well, has strong feelings about the whole thing, anyway. And Technical Difficulties, a terrifying Gunnerkrigg Court tale of science gone wrong, or possibly an adorable research romance of Antimony-and-Kat affection gone totally right. Plus a madness snippet from the Shaun the Sheep universe, Field Study, with just the wacky flavor of the series.
That's three of my four requests this year; makes me feel just about indecently fortunate, honestly.
