life on the fandom rollercoaster

Oh, my fandom. We have our ups and downs, but I love you so, so much.

Echoes was just a thing of beauty and a joy forever, and I watched it making progressively more high-pitched noises, much like a small and excitable not-a-whale, come to think of it. I kept going "omg favorite line! no, wait, this is my favorite line!" Celine Dion! Meredith! Just like a pigeon! Also the scene where John and Rodney wander out together and are fastening their clothes? I may have rewatched that. a lot.

I'm kind of pretending 313 didn't happen, except for the Batman thing. I mostly watched it with my hands ove rmy eyes wishing the episode wasn't there, or I wasn't, or both. *handwaves*

So I was a bit wary on approaching Tao of Rodney, and I was having a grumpy evening, and all that. The grumpiness went away like whoosh and I spent the whole episode going "EEEE" and "omgmyHEART" at unsuspecting persons in chat. Just, oh. (On what you might call a Doyleist note, this was clearly a case of "we have a Hewlett and we're not afraid to use him." Not that I'm exactly sad about that.) Me = puddle of happiness. I think my very favorite moment is, oddly (or not), Rodney saying "I don't know how to do that, okay? I'm me, I don't know how not to be me." Loved Elizabeth in this. and everyone. All the stuff Rodney did, how he really did manage to express his respect, affection, love for these people.

and um. John's hand on the inside of Rodney's wrist, when he falls down. I can stare at that for a long, long time. *deep breath*

In conclusion: *spoiler*. :)
