I see dead people

Over the past, hm, *checks timestamps* two weeks, I've been watching seasons one through three of CSI. As a procrastination tool, that so totally beats cleaning the bathroom. The downside is that between that and moving furniture and sitting on the balcony with Jung, I've got a bad case of the looming deadlines. eep.

(Also, it's really weird to read Jung for the first time. Kind of like watching a show after having read the fanfic, in a way.)

Apart from the ficathon story I'm not thinking about, I also really want to finish the current SGA story before next season rolls around. I'd really like to catch up on the stories that have been posted, too; right now I'm somehow convinced that reading other people's versions of Sheppard and McKay will somehow overwrite what I've got in my head.

So here's the thing - I've got a bunch of opinions on my site that I've accumulated over the years. The first rant-type thing was written in 1998, the most recent in 2002. And what I'm thinking about is, is it better to edit those pieces to reflect my current opinions, to take them down because editing or rewriting is too much trouble, or to leave everything as is, because it's what I thought then? I mean, I don't edit or take down my old stories, but otoh, being opinionated on various fannish topics isn't exactly the same thing as fandom-hopping. On the... third hand? rewriting that stuff from my current perspective would probably make everything wishy-washy enough that no one would be able to find my point, should I manage to have one. And on the fourth, I don't disagree that much with my younger self. Mostly.

I suspect laziness is winning. Maybe ranting is a young fan's game.
