Jedification
Well, that was fun. Granted, after the last one, my expectations were about knee-high to Yoda, but mjlee said we should go early, so we went this afternoon and a good time was had by all, although we maintain our track record of being the people at any given movie screening who laugh the most at things no one else is laughing at. The funny was funny, the action was action-y, the emotionally significant dialogue was dreadful but not unexpectedly so - and even worked, from time to time, especially Obi-Wan's "I loved you!" Also, there were some genuinely powerful scenes of the Jedi being killed, and Anakin finding the children. I had fun. Then I had onion rings.
Oh! and before the onion rings, there was Yoda saying there would be blue ghost sex! At least, that's what I heard him say; possibly the actual line was slightly different, but that's so not the point. Blue ghost sex - now with extra canon!
And now I feel a great urge to go and rewatch episodes 4-6, and (re)read some stories.
