Entry 28 - Absenteeism continues
I still haven't been journalling much recently. This past year has been the most well documented in all my life, a (vaugely) consistent journal of my thoughts, a poetry book which is well under way, a one picture a day diary (essentially) and my travel journal combined mean this year has been pretty thorough!
So, some of my thoughts: I can't seem to concentrate at work at the minute, even though things are important, it all seems so damn insignificant, I can't stand the guy I'm stuck working with and half of the time I barely get on with the girl I'm left with half of the time. Luckily, I have some good friends there or this would feel like Norwich Union all over again. There are rumours afoot of a big switcharound, some people are worried, I couldn't be more excited. I hope it's true and I hope it happens soon, or I'm going to have to put some effort into finding another job.
Outside of work, I almost couldn't be happier (put me in Central Park eating a corn dog, THEN I actually couldn't be happier) because things are going pretty darn good, I could do with more time to enjoy the greatness of it, but otherwise, I'm good. The kitchen actually looks like a kitchen again, I've got a ton of games to play and books to read, I've got a part in a musical and I've got Kendo to look forward to sometime soon (whenever I can finally get a Monday free!) plus, Italy next week, and Center Parcs the weekend after. Awesome.
