So, another episode.
There was good stuff but there really also was a lot of bad stuff.
The wall: The death of Aemon Targaryen was very moving and Sam was his usual wonderful self. However, I could have done without yet another attempted rape. It was nice to see Ghost again, but I don't even remember if the scene was in the books and I think they can really stop it
now.
Winterfell: Ugh, great, more of let's torture Sansa. There is a reason, why GRRM did not do that storyline in the books. Because he already did it in King's landing with Jeoffrey. Down to the scene on the castle walls. The only new part are the rapes and those are really not all that new on this show.
And I don't think they will really be going anywhere with this, because they will not take the plot too far away from the books. I can imagine where this will lead with Brienne and I don't like it.
Also don't like that Melisandre want's to burn Shireen. I hope Stannis will finally get fed up with her.
Mereen: So, they sped things up to Tyrion meeting Dany, that has not happened in the books yet, although things are strongly pointing towards this development. I hope they don't muck it up. So far I have the impression that the show does a good job condensing and merging different storylines from the books, but once they really progress on their own, they are just producing generic torture porn. Let's hope they do better here.
King's landing: Here things work. Loved lady Olenna as usual and I also liked her interaction with Littlefinger. Good Bye, Cersei, have fun with the religious zealots you brought to power.
Just hope they wont kill Loras just for fun.
Oh, and I forgot Dorne, where the best thing is still Bronn's singing voice. The sandsnakes break their personal tackiness record with pointless prison striptease. Myrcella seems to be the only somewhat sane person. She really is better off in Dorne.
