[Yay for copying and pasting the same damn thing over each year =D]

Lords and Ladies....
It's that time again....
The Green's Annual Visit To The....
Michigan Renaissance Festival!!
Has been officially planned for......
Sunday, August 30th
[Highlander Weekend]
Please Note That This HAS changed from the 29th as mentioned previously in my journal.
And that this will be the only time we will be going.
People are meeting up at my house at 9:30ish
[The fair starts at 10am and it takes aprx. 1hr to get there]
Drivers are always welcome
[However you may not end up having to drive depending on how many people go!]
*Feel Free To Meet Up With Us There Instead Of @ My House As well*
If Anyone Has To Be Home By A Certain Time PLEASE let us know!
So we can make accommodation's and make sure you will be home when you need to me, without making a driver have to leave against their will.
In general we should be home no later than 8/8:30 [the fair closes at 7]
Depending on how tired everyone gets, the weather, and how crowded it is
Pizza and Movies are usually held after at my house for those interested
I realize it's a Sunday, but it's always an option.
(Last year we were all too tired and all had school so it didn't happen)
Tickets are $18.95 at the gate for and adult
[$9.95 for children and $16.95 for seniors]
However! You can get tickets in advanced at a discounted price at participating
Krogers, Walgreen's or Wendy's, or on the Michigan Ren Fest's website with their Click n Print Tickets.

Keep in mind that.......
You should bring Extra money for food, or if you plan on shopping!
Moving On!
-----------------
We dress up, so you should too!!!
But it's not mandatory!
If you are having problems with a costume
let us know and I'm sure we can come up with something for you
[I've been going my whole life, and my parents even before that.
Trust me...we've picked up bits of pieces of costumes here and there]
See pictures below for ideas and more info on costumes
You really see people in anything at the Ren Fest
From jeans and t-shirts
to "gothy" black on black on black
To fairy wings, horns, belly dancing attire - and every other look imaginable.
Just be yourself and do what feels comfortable.
It's about having fun =)
Here are some pictures of people who have gone with us over the past few years
Emily and Steph [the two on the right] show a great example of how some clothes in your closet can be surprisingly "ren festy" when put together!
BY THE WAY! - Steph, if you didn't catch from my lj entry I deleted with the wrong date - use to live here but moved to France, and is visiting and get's to go again! (It's been 5 years since we've been together!)
So if that's not awesome enough of a reason to come.
Then you suck.
