Okay so I know this wasn't on my "things I wanted to do this summer" list....
but it is in fact something I REALLY want to do!
YAY!
Trail Ride: A cross-country, noncompetitive, group saunter on horseback, principally with a view to seeing the sights.
---------------------------------------------------------------
As someone who has been on quite a few trail rides I can tell you this.
They are not scary! They are meant for people who have never been on a horse or are beginners.
They explain everything before you leave, and you have a trail guide (or two!) that goes with you.
Actually, to tell you the truth - as someone who has experience riding - the actual things you do on a horse
While on a trail ride - are rather boring to me.
But it's the people your with, and the environment that make it a blast for me!
Plus it's been so long, that I'm aching to be on a horse, even if all you do is walk =P
SO! For whoever is interested.
I have it narrowed down to three places.
All places offer a trail ride that is aprox. 1 hour long.
I am wondering if I should plan this for a week day or a weekend.
It would be a day event - nothing that would take days to do.
Maybury Riding Stable - $28 ~50 mins away from my house
Brighton Recreation Stable - $28 ~1hr and 5 mins away from my house
Hell Creek Ranch - $22 ~1hr and 15 mins away from my house
If you have never been riding and have always wanted to, or are looking for something new and interesting to try -
I hope you'll consider!
If you are interested -
Please let me know if I weekday/weekend would work out better for you.
And also, which place your liking the best!
