Is it time for a change?
Since moving into my new position at work, I've had much less stress in that corner of my life. My boss is laid back, my coworkers like me... But this commute is killing me. I'm wondering if my position/pay is worth the hassle. I make 28k/year with benefits. My health insurance is decent and life insurance is pretty cheap.
But 28k doesn't very well support a family of three. Not to mention that when 2-4 hours of my life is donated to simply the commute to work...and the fact that a 50-hour work week is mandatory for salaried employees... It hardly seems worth it anymore.
I'm considering hitting the temp agencies pretty hard. Craigslist is useless for jobs these days. I don't really know where else to get a job. I'm kickass at what I do and can get good references.
I guess looking never hurts, right?
