Appearance:
Adrian is a relatively average looking woman, and at first glance one wouldn't note anything particularly interesting about her. She is slender and not very tall, coming at a good 5.3 feet. She always wears a pair of oval shaped glasses atop the bridge of her nose that's mostly obscured on the side of her face by her long, sweeping gold bangs. Adrian has very simple tastes in clothes, choosing rather to wear a plain black or blue sleeveless top with comfortable pants that give access to move freely about. She prefers to leave her hair down at most times, feeling a sense of security behind her yellow locks, but will occasionally tie it up on some days when she feels some variety is in order. Most often than not, she will be holding something in her hands or twiddling her fingers nervously, a hard habit she has yet to break.
Personality:
To define Adrian Andrews as a nervous-wreck would probably be an understatement. She is almost always found stumbling or falling, stuttering or flailing and it comes to no surprise that she is well known for it. While Adrian is talented at quite some things, one of the primary traits about her character would be her self-consciousness. She is always aiming to please and finds pleasure in other people's happiness, which in some cases occur at her expense. Adrian is no stranger to sacrifice and will often go to deep lengths to keep her friends and comrades safe or content, since her fierce loyalty demands nothing less. She is a naturally kind-hearted person and warms up to many people, even if they are normally hard to get along with. To cross her is a difficult thing to do, but it is an accepted fact that angering Adrian Andrews..can lead to rather sticky situations.
While Adrian is a klutz it comes as a surprise that she often works best under pressure. More than anything she hates to disappoint people and under a certain amount of stress or strain, she is capable of doing things she'd be unable to do under normal circumstances. When push comes to shove, Adrian can deliver just what is required from her, let it be in the form of an accident or a well-intentioned disaster. She is the type of person to put her best effort into whatever she does, and it undoubtedly shows. Adrian has a great respect for people who are in control and she sees in them qualities she yearns to have herself. She tends to be a little reliant and has a bit of a weakness for depending on people, a problem of which she is still trying to resolve.
Abilities/Weapons:
Adrian isn't much of a fighter and doesn't plan to be anytime soon. Her skills lie mostly in her culinary talent, which to some may be unexpected considering her clumsy persona. She is capable of cooking large feasts in a short amount of time which never fails to taste delicious, even if on particularly nasty days she may overcook the steak a little bit. But only a little. Adrian is also very much an avid bookworm, loving to learn about art and literature and enjoying every moment of free time she has to a sit down with a nice, interesting novel or two, only to finish it completely in a short matter of time.
Weaknesses:
For a person like Adrian, most of her weaknesses lie with her strengths. Her dependable nature allows her to trust the wrong sorts of people and attract bad attention, of which she faced big problems in the past because of. She is very co-dependent, and combined with her tendency to want to help people whenever she can leads to all sorts of tiffs and problems. Adrian is a nervous person by default, but an easy person to read emotionally unless she forces a strong effort to hide it. She can often be caught in the midst of a lie if it is not well constructed enough.
History:
Adrian Andrews grew up in the city of Melior as an only child, under the watchful eyes of her loving parents. There was no doubt that she was brilliant, she excelled in almost every assignment and task given to her and she did it without a word. As a child, she was socially inept. Quiet and subdued in all her classes, she preferred to drop quietly into the backgrounds of any conversations. Adrian continued this behavior for a handful of years in her childhood until she met her mentor and friend, Celeste Inpax. It was Celeste who sparked Adrian's love for cooking, the arts, and literature, and she avidly took every opportunity to bring the young girl to as many museums and libraries as possible.
Adrian was beginning to depend on Celeste to be a constant presence in her life, and it came to her as a shock and an emotional scar when the woman committed her suicide several days after Adrian's eighteenth birthday. The suicide was a mystery, but Adrian was traumatized and went through several difficult years recovering from the loss and slowly returned to her withdrawn, quiet personality.
It was only after the light was shined upon the details of the case that Adrian found the resolve to correct her life and to move on from the slump she was stuck in. With the encouragement of her parents and the truth behind the death of her closest friend and teacher, she pushed forward with her academic pursuits and found herself attending a cooking university, loving every moment of it. She found a surprising grace within herself as she worked in the kitchen handling knives and boiling pots of water, and she was rather taken with the fact that inside those walls, she was a different person, less clumsy and more confident. Her skills did not go by unnoticed, and under the government of Ivona, she was recruited as the cook of their military ship, the Victoria II.
