the problem with being a vegetarian
I need help.
See, I (foolishly) decided I wanted to write my fic about food, because I love food! and since I'm writing Park Ji-Sung/Patrice Evra, that was even better, since I love Korean food like a crazy person. and then I realized I have a major problem - I really, really want to write about Park and Evra getting Korean barbecue together. but I'm a vegetarian. so I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. I don't really want to write about something I can't properly describe. I've had Korean barbecue years and years ago, when I did eat meat, but I was much younger, and I only remember some of the details. (Mostly the live coals in the middle of the table. those were awesome.)
I can find general info - what kind of meat people use, etc - on the internet, but I'd love a more qualitative evaluation. what does it taste like? is it messy to eat? are there things that Ji-Sung would have to explain to Evra? is it an acquired taste? etc. any/all help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just "don't write about food, write about pirates instead," or whatever. thanks!
