Finally finished Christopher Moore's Lamb, which I've been working here and there since Christmas.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. The invention of sarcasm and lots of other little asides had me ROTFL and all that. Interesting to read and compare to JCS, and the tiny biblical knowledge I had before that. Maybe I'll try reading one of these Bible things just to see exactly how the story goes in that telling. One of these days.
The end might have been a little disappointing. I mean, I saw the crucifixion coming. But the meta story was not adequately resolved, and I was disappointed that the meta story had already dropped off from the attention it got at the beginning of the book.
On DVD, Slings and Arrows continues to be excellent. I may have to read some Shakespeare as background. I think I figured out who Geoffrey reminds me of, but that upset my world vision, 'cause I really like Geoffrey. I mean, I like Mark Rousculp, too, but not in a... protagonist kind of way.
On real TV (well, torrent now, but it started out real TV) we're continuing to enjoy Dexter quite a bit. Since we discovered that CBS is somehow cutting out 15 minutes of the original version from Showtime, we've actually decided to switch over to torrent only so we can see that extra bit. It goes from God, to torrent, to the Powerbook, to the ThinkPad, gets encoded from .avi to MPEG2, to the Tivo. Next time I'll plan better... and cut out the Powerbook. Maybe just buying the DVDs would be easier, but that would be somehow sacrificing some sort of nerdy masculinity or something.
