Appearance:
Billy is the tall and lanky type; 6'2" with a very slender build. His skin is rather pale, both naturally and due to the fact that he never found himself spending many hours in the sun (not to say that he spent all his time in his room, of course, he still socializes often). He has black eyes and extremely long light brown hair that to this day he has never cut aside from trims. Because of the length and to keep it out of his face as he works, he often keeps it up in a high ponytail.
Clothing-wise, he isn't very picky. He'll wear whatever fits, just as long as it's not too tight to cut off circulation or too loose such that it gets in his way.
Personality:
Billy is overall a very friendly person, finding his companions in both other human beings and in his tools and mechanical equipment. He is extremely passionate about the things he likes; his main interest being engineering, he can spend days at a time holed up and working and not realize that any longer than an hour has passed. Though he does get frustrated at times when things aren't quite working out the way they should, he enjoys learning from his mistakes. In the end, it's not only the end result he is looking for, but all of the knowledge gained in getting there.
Of course, his hobby doesn't take up his entire life. Billy is more than happy to make friends where he can, and isn't at all adverse to socializing, even if his interest in engineering takes up a great portion of his time. When he finds a friend he really does like and care for, his overprotective tendencies come out in full force, as he watches out for them as best he can (even if they're perfectly able to look out for themselves. Sometimes, he just doesn't trust people to be able to take care of themselves and choose the right decisions).
History:
Born in Canada to a middle class family, Billy spent his childhood with his parents, who were both in the Air Force (his father being an engineer, his mother being a pilot). Because of this, he spent much of his time running around at whatever base they were stationed at, learning things about mechanics and piloting from whoever he could, whenever he could. His interest in engineering grew from his constant surroundings, and though he didn't have any particular pressing need to actually pilot an aircraft, building one was something he longed to eventually achieve.
He plans to keep going through schooling to learn as much as he can and work further on his engineering skills, and hopefully attain his dream one day.
