Arisa Sansci

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Arisa. It seems that, with the Elf out of sorts still, you and I will, together, make up the medical crew. I shall fix the minds, and you the bodies. I am Mobula Nausithoe. You may call me Nausithoe, if you wish."

"And I will, indeed, Nausithoe. But, you've made the mistake that all the standard speakers do. My name is not Arisa and then Sanci. It is Arisa Sanci, all as one."

The Ranga's eye stalks lifted to different heights, but he pressed no further. He had read the database entry on the race of this woman, but it had made no reference to their naming conventions. He would submit that point to the next Bedt'wein he saw.

"I apologize for the mistake." He smiled as best he could, with the stiff filter mouth he posessed. Arisa Sansci smiled as well.

"It will be nice, to work with someone like myself. I do grow bored of the standards everywhere. Always the same, two legs, five fingers, easily matted hair. There are so many things on a standard that are so very useless in the water, and it's so easy for them to die there."

"I would die in the water as well, you know. The cold would kill me."

"But not the liquid, and that is why you and I are more alike than any of the others on this ship."

"It would, of course, have nothing to do with our predilection for healing?"

Arisa Sansci laughed, and Nausithoe marvelled at how she managed to project the sound through the water and the air with so little distortion. "Most certainly not."

In the name of science, to study the way the sound travelled through two so different mediums, Nausithoe decided he would talk to this woman often.

And more than that, he would make her laugh.

Well, she stayed nameless for about...mmm... ten minutes?
