Being a fan of stuff along the line of
Twelve Monkeys and other time-loop stories, episode 3 was pleasing. Another pleasing thing was the fact that Torchwood apparently is significantly more competent than what I tend to regard them as. Maybe Canary Wharf and season 1 left me a bit too jaded.
On another note: ...How old IS Tosh and should I feel bad about having the hots for her, if she's old enough to be my mother? She'd have to have been a very young mother to have me, though, if at all. I hope she is not that old, I've never been good at guessing people's ages.
Yay for Tosh getting some romance, bah for Tosh losing yet another love interest to Death. At least this time was for a good cause. I'm still convinced the reason why Owen won't go for Tosh is because he respects and cares about her too much and won't start something he knows he won't follow through to the extent Tosh wants.
Being pro-Janto (and pretty much pro- jack/everyone) the kiss in today's episode induced plenty of fan-squee in me. SQUEEEEEEE, SQUEEEEEEEEE, SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Maybe I'm just missing my partner too much, but so far out of these two season, today's jack/ianto kiss is my favourite one. (The CJH one was damned good but also too bloody sad. I ceased to find it hot once I actually had seen the episode, after that it was just too angsty. Still a good kiss, though, and awesome in its context, even though it's probably what got the original Jack killed.)
Coming up next week: Rats in your pizza? HAH. That's nothing. Woo, Rhys gets to be more than a piece of comfortable furniture in Gwen's life. Can't claim I find him attractive, but his flashing the audience with his butt last season made me happy. I like it when people are comfortable enough in their skin to do silly stuff like that. Which is partially why I find
John Otway hot (as well as because anyone with a mind that creates such a song deserves lots of sex). Mmm, nonstop science lines of sexual innuendo.
So far this season the episodes have been quite good, both as standalones and as a continuity. Awesome. I now expect all the remaining episodes to be as good or better. Stay as good, dammit! We already know Martha's showing up later - add more Andy to some episode and I'll be even more of a happy camper.
