..Whut
I have an odd urge to read/watch something involving Ianto with an evil goatee, and a big, fluffy cat (not a fat cat, fat cats are less multipurpose). Ianto having outsmarted the Captain and escaped after Lisa died, vowing to take revenge on Jack for what he did to his beloved (refusing to see that she already was too far gone). Ianto's obsession drives him to find out more and more about science and life, to such an extent that he and his large team of minions researchers wind up finding the cure for cancer etc as side-effects of his research. It ends with an ooold and gray Ianto (200 years old) confused and serenely sitting on the floor facing a window, more or less at peace with himself, life and the world, going "what now?" as the Captain is lying strapped down on a table, no longer a fact of life - just a mere mortal (albeit not really human anymore). Ianto Jones saw Jack as he was die, the death of the new Jack interests him not. Not that he really could hold a grudge for so long, he had to face the truth about Lisa sooner or later, and sorta did a century or more ago.
..Yes, it's a rather cliché crackfic. Still would be nice to read, though. =(
It's sequel would be a relatively short fic about Ianto's and the Doctor's casual yet serious interactions and discussions regarding life, the universe and everything else, at a tea-party both randomly stumbled upon when bored, shortly before the Doctor offers to take the giant head Jack back to his home planet (and misses the mark by a few thousands of years). (He makes up for it by being the other father of some of Jack's boe-kind children, no actual sex involved, just a genetic donation.)
