The 2015 Ficathon Eve Post: "You expect him to regain consciousness very soon..."
We're on the verge of stories! Thirteen amazing, fantastic, uncanny new Forever Knight tales await us this week and next! (Also: funny? We seem to have gone in for some humor this year, alongside a deep dive into post-LK.)
As befits the FK we know and love, the stories feature diverse characters, couples and shades of interpretation! They range from ~1K words to ~19K words. We have two crossovers. And while it's a championship year for gen, romance is not forgotten! We have tags for all the opening-credits characters through the seasons - except Cohen? am I overlooking her? - and assorted minor characters from Urs to Liam O'Neal.
Stories begin releasing tomorrow, Monday 8/24, as scheduled, and continue one per day up to the final "Master List" ("Closing Ceremonies") post on Sunday 9/06.
When will stories release? Before I leave for work each morning (Pacific Time), I'll release that day's story in our collection on the AO3. I'll also announce each day's stories on LJ, DW and forkni-l if I have time. Otherwise, the announcements will wait until after I get home from work each evening. (Want to make it faster? Queue your own DW/LJ announcement posts!)
When can I post my story elsewhere? Please wait until our game ends - that is, until the "Master List" posts - before also posting your story elsewhere. Do talk about your story and the ficathon elsewhere, though! Share links! Bring in the crowds! ;-)
What about feedback? Yes, please! Consider replying to every story you read! Share the fun fest experience! Readers need not have accounts to comment, and may even comment anonymously (although it's most friendly to identify yourself in some way). And you can always just click the "kudos" button!
