I've got a question on whether or not I'm unintentionally cheating with a prompt. One of my initial requests was a season one post episode prompt. (Where were Nick, Schanke and Natalie going after the tag from "Feeding the Beast"?) After thinking it through, I decided I didn't want to be too confining in my prompt, so I changed it and made it more broad. (Nick, Schanke, and Natalie hanging out in season one.) However, and now this is where I'm concerned. Since I don't know if my recipient has recently watched season one, I wanted to offer examples of my favorite public servant trio hanging out to serve as a reminder. I offered episode specific examples. (The tags of LA, DTKY, DK2, and of course my original episode specific prompt from FtB). Yet the more I think about those suggestions, it sounds like I'm trying to sneak in two prompts (or several) in one and the last thing I want to do is start bending rules.

I guess I just need a second opinion before I submit my prompts. Based on your opinion I can go either way. If you consider it leading I can absolutely eliminate the episode suggestions and choose either the specific or broad prompt.

I'm including the prompt just in case I'm not making much sense. It's 3am and unlike Nick and company, I don't work the night shift ;-)

Wildcard Request
Characters: Nick, Natalie, Schanke, LaCroix, Janette, others as necessary
Prompt: Nick, Schanke, and Natalie hanging out. Season one offers several post episode opportunities if that's something you'd like to explore. (The three of them leaving the museum at the end of "Dark Knight: The Second Chapter", the three of them attending Erica's play in the tag of "Last Act", the three of them plus Captain Stonetree in the tag of "Dying to Know You", and the three of them were obviously going somewhere in the tag of "Feeding the Beast." Of course you can make up your own scenario and I'll love you forever for that. If you want to contrast our civil servant trio with Nick, LaCroix, and Janette, either in passing or as a major theme, that would be aces, but not necessary.

All three versions of your sample prompt that you described are acceptable. Please pick the version you like best!

(However, I think that you're perhaps missing a ")" symbol in the sample prompt as written?)

Other people have submitted prompts that -- in form, not content -- resemble all three versions of your sample prompt. It's okay to be episode-specific. It's also okay to be vague! Your writer will choose whichever strikes his/her imagination.

(Personally, I -- Brightknightie -- submitted one specific and two vague prompts.)
