Friday Five: Cell Phones
Cell phones! (almost a week late)
1: When did you get your first cell phone?
I don't actually remember. I had a car cell phone sometime around college, but the one i remember best, of the recognizable modern kind, was a little black Motorola with the monochrome green screen, sometime around 2002/03.
2: Do you have any special ring tones, if so what are they?
Just one that wasn't pre-installed on my phone. The "Crystal Drops" tone from an iTunes app called Alarm Clock HD (grabbed that from the Droid app called Zedge) has this nice soothing spacey sound, and it has a nice nostalgia for me. I use it for my husband's ring tone.
3: Does your phone have a camera?
Yep. It's pretty good for a cellphone camera. Video, too.
4: What kind of phone do you have now?
Samsung Galaxy Nexus - it is AWESOME, by far my favorite phone so far. I'll keep it until it dies.
5: What carrier do you use?
I've been with Sprint ever since the "green screen Motorola" ten years ago. My sister worked with (and returned to) Sprint, and they've treated us both well aside from (both) one irritating thing. I haven't seen a financial, coverage, or moral reason to switch. Plus, with my sister working for them, i like giving her "commission" bonus perks too. And yeah, i've shopped around just to check on occasion.
