Very impressed by this issue of Journey Planet
I have the urge to sit one or two people down and explain to them that if they believe no one thinks they are a token because a convention *doesn't* have Gender Parity, then they have clearly invested in some rose pink spectacles, but otherwise they are an intelligent set of articles.
On a related note: over twenty years of teaching I have noticed that the age at which women realise they have been discriminated against (particularly in institutional terms) has gone up*, I'd love an age break down of this set of writers. It wouldn't be clear cut, but I still suspect that there would be an age profile to the types of responses.
*I'm not complaining about this: I believe that this the first year that female new hire graduates have earned more than their male counterparts for example.
