I know that some day I want to live in Europe, and every day I change my mind on which country I prefer. So far I think that the south of France is really perfect...I like the climate and the people and I really love the French culture. But what always holds me back is the filth. Europe is so dirty...and not even just the old bits...the new stuff is still urine scented. And the urine scent is particular to France... And of course I haven't been everywhere in Europe, and I hear that Eastern Europe is cleaner and more ecological than Western Europe but I don't know. I don't think I could stand living in a place where only 20 percent of the population even know what recycling is. And the smoking! Ay the constant smoke! Granted it's better than it was a few years ago, but still. People smoking in cafes and in stores is top of disgusting.

So maybe in a few years Europe will tidy up their streets and decrease smoking so I can move there? But I guess that'll only happen when Americans stop wasting millions of gallons of oil on SUVs and constant unnecessary lighting and heating of houses and stores...

Sigh. World, when will you learn?
