The Hummingbird and the Cross
I decided to go watch the sunset tonight. A brown hummingbird flew in front of my face and hopped on the loops of barbed wire along the fence several times before flitting off. They're beautiful creatures and I don't see them very often.
The sun set on the canyon and at the brightest point, I saw it lining up perfectly with the Cross of San Ysidro. The sky then turned from golden to vermillion and purple.
Today was a good day.
