Okay, so yesterday was a crazy productive day at school, and at least now I can feel like I got *something* done pre-starscape. I don't feel like as much of a slacker anymore....I
1) called the health dept about my annual physical
2) took my car in for repairs (fan belt & oil leak)
3) sent off loan consolidation stuff
4) sent emails to people about covering my Monday class
5) sent email to the previous head TA about our meeting
6) wrote a program in Inquisit for a second study for my dissertation

The last one was the thing that I'd been working on for a long time. Inquisit isn't *that* hard, not as hard as actual other programming stuff, but I've never used it before, so there was somewhat of a learning curve. I found that it's really good about giving you specific reasons for why it didn't parse something out a certain way, though, so that helped. Now I just have to go back and fix the sizes of some of the stimuli, and work on the timings for things.

In gossip news, I read this about Natasha Lyonne yesterday and it made me sad. Poor girlie...she's gonna end up killing herself. I love celebrity gossip and all, but when it's something that we can all know about, but no one seems to be able to step in and do something about, then it seems even more sad. I could say a similar kind of thing about Britney Spears, but she seems to have asked about it a bit more. I don't know what's up with her family/aids though, as reports are out today that no one was at her house to help her before that interview started the other day...no makeup, no publicist, nothing. She does pay these people, right?

Watters came out with new bridesmaid dresses for fall, which, for those of you not bogged down with the massive amounts of bs in the bridal fashion world, watters is sort of a mid-priced bridal brand. The wedding gowns are about $1200, and the bridesmaid dresses are around $300. That's more than I'd want to spend for a wg, but their bm dresses are nice enough that you could use them for a gown if you wanted, and that may be the plan. I'm currently liking this one, this one, and this one. The bonus would be that RK bridal can get them for around $200, and I could probably order extra fabric to have straps and/or a jacket made. Maybe I'll actually be able to try them on soon, as the closest place that carries the brand is 2.5 hours away! :p

I'm not sure if I've shown it yet, but I'm in love with this jacket/dress idea:

It seems like the best idea for an outdoor evening ceremony, then I could take the jacket off for the reception. It's just damn cute, and I think it'd make my ass look nice. We'll see if I still like it in a few weeks though! ;)

Okay, today...I need to
1) finish up a few details on the computer program
2) answer emails
3) email various pictures to my mom
4) work on a paper
5) hope my car gets fixed and isn't massively expensive!
6) figure out what to pack for ss!!
