This is so lovely -- I like how practical this is, how it's really difficult for Ryan to get Brendon back to the ocean and how the meeting is all about amazement on both sides. Brendon's glee at meeting an actual real human was adorable. Also, loved this line:

Brendon smiles a little broader, but in a generic way. Ryan guesses he doesn't get the joke.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was fabulous. I just loved the way they interacted and their amazement with each other.

Brendon leans a little closer, grinning now. "I can't believe I'm meeting a real live human! With legs!"
Ryan stretches his legs a little, then sits down and crosses them. "Legs are kind of standard for humans." This made me laugh much harder than it probably should have!

I'm just sitting here, imagining them meeting up again and again, and it's fabulous. Again, thank you! And Merry Christmas to you too!!

lol, that's one of my favorite lines too. i just sort of figured that ryan would shrug off brendon's excitement over why he considers mundane as per normal haha. gah, i love these two together just because of the contrasting chemistry (and the hot, hot seckz of course ;) )

gah, hope practical means less sort-of-boring-and-drawn-out and more realistic-and-easy-to-imagine, lol. for the sake of my ego, i shall choose the latter ;)

yes! merman gerard! he's sort of like scuttle from the little mermaid for me. knows (or thinks he knows, anyway) a lot, and fills in the gaps with his own little stories and imaginings. also, with his merman boyfriend frank. obviously, hehe.

i love his wiggly tail too! lol, i actually didn't notice how much he was wiggling it at first, then i did a once over and realized he was moving constantly. so. yes, love the wiggly tail ♥
