So damn attached to this drama. The way they portray Junhee liking Yoonjae is absolutely heartbreaking, the fact that he knows he can't get him, that in 1997 gay boys did not exist, that he likes another girl. And yet, still so beautiful - despite knowing that it is physically impossible, he never chose to forget his feelings (something we all seem to be doing nowadays, pushing them aside) and instead, acknowledges it. It was the least he could do for himself. And somehow, it hurts (to a certain extent), the depth and the sincerity in Junhee's love for Yoonjae - which brings a particular question to mind.
Can you love someone too much?
Or is love unmeasurable, undefined, deeper than the ocean, and full of unspoken depth? Continuous variation versus discontinuous variation. Brought about by a combined effect of many genes versus a clear-cut effect, with no intermediate forms between traits. Just like grief, love can be deeper, darker and bigger than us. There is no clear-cut answer for a "do you love me?" question - there is more than meets the eye to a No, and there is so much meaning to a Yes.
Continuous variation is a variation with its phenotypes ranging from one extreme to the other, brought about by a combined effect of many genes, and are vastly affected by environmental conditions.
Love is continuous. Love is incessant, unmeasurable, limitless, boundless, enduring. Love is all-encompassing, eternal, everlasting, immense, measureless, infinite.
And i've found the answer. Love does not stop for there is no such thing as loving someone too much. Love is endless. Infinite.
