...Well, the song's nice, at least.

It reminds me of when things were...simpler.

Simpler times? Before you manifested, I'm guessing?

Back when I was just a watchmaker who loved peach pie.

You remember that, don't you?

You shouldn't dwell in the past.

I usually don't.

Usually it's all a lie, anyway.

Pretty much.

But that's why I have to find out the truth.

Sometimes the truth can be a lie.

It's true. Like when Angela told me the truth about my "parents"

But that doesn't mean the real truth isn't still out there.

The truth can be erased. If you can't remember it, maybe it's better not to think about it.

No, the truth is important, Elle. I have to know where I really come from. I was lied to my whole life about who I was, don't you see I deserve the truth?

Just because you don't remember something doesn't mean it's not important.

What if the reason why you don't know something is to protect you? Sometimes when you take the truth out of context, it can be used as a weapon, to ruin your trust. Sometimes lies are nicer than the truth. Why would you want to know something that can only hurt you?

My whole life Elle, I wanted to special, something more than just the son of a watchmaker and a woman who collected snow globes. How could knowing that I was right, that I am more than that be bad?

I've been lied to to be manipulated, to be used, but never to be protected. Someone who have had to care enough to protect me in the first place.

I'm just saying, sometimes you might think that you the truth but actually you don't.

I know that. Believe me, I know that better now than I did before.
