Yes. I'm listening to Sweet Home Alabama. I'm in THAT sort of mood.

Which reminds me: the history of the Civil War is just about 1000 times more interesting that Native American Studies. And I hate 19th century history. But Mr. Cullen is truly one of the best teachers I've had. Not as good as Montera, but if Montera is the standard, almost no one can compete.

These last few weeks have been odd. Two weeks ago I spent the whole week crying, and not cause of finals. But not cause of anything else, either. I was just bursting into tears almost spontaneously. Everything just seemed extra emotional to me, from watching the snow fall to having sex.

I'm very tired.

Today I went to the deli in front of the subway to get a candy bar and the guy behind the counter was a person I hadn't seen since last year. He had always been really nice to me, giving me discounts or free candies or doodads like a bottle opener. I didn't expect him to recognize me though, but he did, and he was really nice and warm. He asked me how my studies were and what I'd been doing. It was cute. That made me really happy, that he remembered me. I remember he always used to tell Sam good luck (i.e. with trying to win me over).

In other news, day 2 of working at God's Love We Deliver starts tomorrow. Basically, it's this program where food is delivered for free to people who call and tell they are too sick to feed themselves. Mostly AIDS patients but also some people with cancer and MS and a few other diseases. All you have to do is call and give your doctor's name, and you can get food delivered the next day. I'm just working in the kitchen, chopping, pouring sauce, placing mashed potatoes, etc, which is hard enough work because over 5000 meals are made and delivered every day (made fresh daily). The menu is actually really good looking- always a soup bread salad and dessert, and then an entree and side dish, and the patients don't get a repeat meal for an entire month. I didn't think it'd be so rewarding to work someplace where you don't actually get to see the people you're benefitting, but it is. I don't know, I really like it. Except the waking up at 5:45 part. Although that's just Wednesdays, Tuesdays I go afterschool. Anyone looking for an extra 3 hours of community service a week is more than welcome to come home with me Tuesdays, although I must warn you it's from 6:00-9:00 and virtually with out breaks.

Now we've got some Sigur Ros on iTunes, and it's officially time to do my Poetry homework.
