So .. I meant to do these pimp posts semi-regularly. Guess not. So, quickfire pimping (this almost reads like "what I've been consuming this summer", I'll be honest).
1.
Glasvegas. Scottish rock that sounds Scottish, feels Scottish, and is just brilliance.
Download here.
2.
InfoMania. A hilarious show that sums up the week's media in-take, whether news, magazines, advertising, viral videos or music. And like all good things, available online for free (legally!).
3.
Racialicious - simply the best, most informative, varied blog about race and pop culture.
4.
Lupe Fiasco. Just, great stuff.
5.
Mock the Week. Perfect British panel show; all about the biting, crude jokes. Perfect thing to watch to turn your brain off and unwind. Just great.
6.
The Chaser's War on Everything. Discovered this Australian comedy group way back last year, now they're off TV (or youtube in my case), but I'm not missing them too hard because I know they'll be back.
7.
This Ashes to Ashes fanmix. Doesn't really matter if you've seen the show or not; just download it for the lovely cover art and the perfect electronic/groovy/dancey music. Seriously awesome.
8.
Smitten Kitchen, my favourite food blog. Food blogs are kind of a guilty pleasure of mine, because I am never experimental enough to try the recipes out; I just like the pictures and the mouth-watering recipes (though I do occasionally get an idea for something from the blog and simplify it enough to try it on my own). The recipes here are impossible for a beginner like myself but the pics are excellent.
9.
omonatheydidnt. Kpop is nutty, often. I don't have this comm friended but sometimes it's nice to see just how nutty it sometimes gets.
10.
Ill Doctrine. Jay Smooth has a way of phrasing things that is incredibly rational, appealling and informative. I've yet to see him say something I disagree with.
Phew. Now I can procrastinate again.. :D
