Cam's attitude is set and she's not like Brennan, a slightly damaged person who needs to grow as a person a little to be able to have the sort of relationship she actually kind of really needs.

I was unconvinced until I read this line, now I see where you're coming from. For me, it's always been an issue of not just Booth changing Brennan, but a man changing a woman to be more stereotypically female (emotional, intuitive, etc.). But you're right in that you have to look beyond that, and realize that both of them are human beings with serious issues they have to confront. And they can do that, and grow as individuals, through each other. I just wish Booth was changing as much as Brennan. ;P

The fic you're referring to, I don't think I wrote it! I'd love to see what fic you're talking about. :) And as for Brennan explanating love through science, I find myself thinking that way mostly. It doesn't mean I don't believe in love or that it doesn't happen. I just prefer having a physiological explanation for it, as real as it is.

One moment I really liked last night was when Brennan admitted to Angela that she knows she's missing out by resisting the idea of an intimate relationship. She's never done that before, and it was heart-breaking and hopeful all at the same time. :)

Yeah that sort of sums it up in a way I couldn't because my head was just so FILLED with thoughts I needed to mention. Basically, it's not like B & B are hopelessly broken people but they are people with issues that would surface if they had a close relationship and in a way they're both scared but in a way they both also need it.

Oddly enough, maybe Brennan's changing because she realizes this better than Booth does, or again, maybe it's just that semi-conservative viewpoint having something to do with it.

It was fantastic, very likely build-up to any B/B scenes in the finale ...or for the possibility of Sully returning. Hmmm-mmm.
