I was reading this and going to myself 'these are all great but this is all much too fluffy, there isn't enough angst!!!' Heeeeee. Which is why Hana Kimi, adorable as it is, would never be on my all time faves list: not much (any) angst at all. I have this total weird angst craving. After Snow Queen, I thought I needed a recharge, but a few days of nothing but My Love Patzzi and I am craving an angsty drama. :P

Re; swapping Gong-Chan and Ling. No way. Ling has too many issues for me to want in RL :P Hmmmmm, if you really insist, I'd swap Gong-Chan for Mong-Ryong as he might be good 'meet the parent' material when grown-up too.

Well, I did really like ISWAK (I just rewatched some of it because I realized that omg, Arron from Fahrenheit played XQ's friend's rich bf!) and liked Mars and some things about Mars so it's like - I recognize your taste as good. :P

Yeah, that's why I marathon Hana Kimi and you marathon Tree Of Heaven. :D I do like some angst but I need the balance between hilarious/cute and heart-wretchingly hurty angst.

I haven't even gotten to know Mong-ryong yet! *clings* But for Gong-chan... Fine, Mong-ryong is yours. But I call dibs on Moo-ryong from WYH. :P

The Mars chara was Tong Dao. I got the significance but I just hated him a lot.

Yeah, I'm a bit undecided on Gong-chan's grandpa.. He was okay, then hatable and I'm not sure if he switched back to okay or not. :/

I have to admit I'm having a really hard time getting through Kurosagi right now. I'm only halfway through the first episode still. :\ I think it might just be that the premise doesn't really appeal to me. I'm going to give it another shot because, hey, Yamapi. But... right now am feeling a little iffy on it.

P.S. And omfg what is up with that piggyback cliche. I haven't watched any of the legit kdramas yet, but it was in every single episode of DBSK's banjun drama series. o_O That and really intense hugging.

WTF are banjun dramas? Are they like 2nd tier drama television or something? Was watching Xman and they kept talking about some Shinhwa member's banjun drama. It seemed like B/C-rate Bollywood movies - worse production values but more explicit stuff like kissing, sexier dancing etc.

I suppose the banjun dramas could go all out with romantic clichés whereas in legitimate kdramas they only happen when they're significant and mean something in context.

Banjun means "reverse" (although I don't know if that's the literal translation). Basically, they're closer to skits than actual dramas, and are usually pretty cheesy and even though DBSK has a "series" of them, each episode has a standalone plot (er... if you could refer to these things as "plots", lol). Although there are some loose themes that continue from one episode to the next, or characters that carry over from one episode to the next. Basically, the premise is that in each episode, they will take on different roles in different settings, and then there will be a twist, or a "reverse" at the end of the drama that is supposed to be all shocking and hilarious. But yeah... they are not really high-quality acting/screenwriting BUT SO MUCH FUN. XD One of them has a plot that revolves all around a slash fanfic, no joke! >: )

It's an odd comment to make, the Veela one (WTF mixing fandoms much!) but I liked it. She does have that mesmerizing beauty type quality in her looks.
