movies of week 5 - none! but i give you hindi oldies instead.
I didn't watch any movies last week. What can I say, TV + dramas just ate up my existence and if I watched something, it was a re-watch and those don't really count in my books.
But I was inspired to rip & upload two videos from a 70's masala film called Patthar Aur Payal onto youtube. The film's nothing incredibly mind-blowing, but it was entertaining enough and I've rewatched the songs quite a bit. When ripping, I kept the subs in since I know as a Hindi-handicapped person, it's cool to know the general message of the lyrics when watching (especially with oldies where the lyrics aren't vapid).
First, a song where Dharmendra hallucinates a random nautch girl into Hema (who for that reason only appears around the 1:17 mark). Awesome, Bharatanatyam-inspired dancing ensues.
The next video takes place about 10 minutes before the movie ends so it can be considered very spoilerous (not that the movie's plot isn't predictable, though). For that, it's under cut.
In this one, Hema's been kidnapped by bad bad man, Vinod Khanna (sleazy but hot) and Dharmendra rushes to save her, but she's not going out without a fight on her own, either.
It's no Seeta Aur Geeta but at least she's not *completely* helpless.
