screencapspam: aishwarya, tabu & prakash raj in iruvar.

Iruvar is a Tamil movie directed by the famous Tamil director Mani Ratnam. It features the on-screen debut of the currently internationally famous Aishwarya Rai. The plot is largely inspired by actual past politicians of Tamil Nadu and their lives, so a lot of the film's events need their context, though even without knowing anything about Tamil Nadu politics, one can recognize it as a well-made film. Plus there are very nice song picturizations and the groovy soundtrack is composed by A R Rahman.

First there's the awesome actress Tabu, also featured in many Hindi films, who has a somewhat small role in the film.

And Aishwarya, looking young, but good.

Yes, her male counterpart in this film is not the hottest Indian man ever..

Most beautiful thing from India, Taj or Aishwarya? Pick, now!

And for some reason I found the other male lead of this movie, Prakash Raj, oddly appealling in this film, especially first half. He played a poet! It was intense. So I screencapped him.

No, not the hottest Indian man ever, this guy, either, but he was so amazing in this movie. Overall he's one of my favourite "side role" guys in Southie films.
