Everyone should go and read the first chapter of
hackthis' new Harry Potter AU, called
Trade.
Because I say so and because it is fantastic. It's Zahra, so I could trust it would be good and so I actually printed it out at school and read it on my way home. I could just sit here & praise it, but it's only just started, so I feel silly doing that.
So, it turns out the stand-up comedy gig is not today, it's tomorrow night. Which leaves me with a tough TV dilemma. Arrested Development, or the Finnish Queer Eye. AD because duhh, it's AD! But on the other hand, I'm extremely curious about the Finnish Queer Eye and from the interview I've read, it seems like the Finnish version will be good entertainment. I've got the AD ep on my computer, so I might watch it now and if it's really really awesome (or alternatively, if the file doesn't work properly), I'll watch AD tonight.
I really want my Amazon order for the Philosophy comic book to be dispatched, already. Man, oh man.
PS. I recently realized what sounded so familiar about Kent's new album, beside the obvious fact that it is very clearly a Kent album. It's the The Cure influences. "400 slag" has a beginning like any other on Cure's Disintegration album and the same sort of elements are featured on other songs, as well. It's just beautiful. It makes me love both bands more than I did before.
